After suffering a stroke, Hubert took massive amounts mangosteen juice for one month.
Astonishingly, at his next check-up, he had a near-clean bill of health.
I had a “gran mal” seizure on Dec. 6, 2004. At 1:00 PM Dec. 6.
I was in my classroom tutoring 6th grader Eddie Torres. The next thing I knew, at 4:00 PM, I was in the hospital with my ex-wife and daughter, Dara, leaning over me. There was a doctor and nurse in the room, but they had finished examining me. They thought I should stay overnight.
After several test to determine how serious my condition was, it was determined I had suffered a stroke and seizure, but not a heart attack.
I’d received Dilantin intravenously, to stop the seizure.

Dilantin acts like a 6-pack, like I was drunk. Then Dara requested a wheelchair so she could take me home. I had a black eye over my left eye that extended from my left ear to covering half of my right eye and from my hairline to the upper edge of my mouth. This was from my face hitting the floor at the start of my seizure. I also had a broken bone in my right foot from movement during the seizure.
- later MRIs showed I had a scar from the seizure right between my eyes & behind my forehead
- a scar from a stroke just left of the base of my skull
- blockages, small ones, around my brain and heart & 3 large 50% blockage in the arteries in my neck, leading to my brain
The doctor was amazed that I could walk into their office unassisted. My doctor was planning to open my throat or go in through my groin and removes all blockages. We scheduled the surgery in one month. During that month, I raised my mangosteen juice consumption from one case per month to six cases per month [These levels are close to those for The 21 Day Challenge].
Just before my scheduled surgery I had new test to measure the percentage of blockages using MRIs. The results were:

No surgery was needed and I was released. Doctors are amazed that a juice did this. They are not believers, yet. I have had no more seizures. I am feeling a lot better. I have been drinking mangosteen juice since 10/07/03.
